Which Safety Thermometer Are You Using?



First make sure you are logged in to the Safety Thermometer website with admin or editor access.

  • Navigate to the Thermometer home page using the tab at the top of the page

  • Click the ‘Collect Data’ button on the left hand side and click the ‘Collect data’ option under


  • Select the organisation that you will be entering data for from the drop down menu
  • Choose your ward from list that appears below your organisation, then click the ‘Add Survey’ button


  • On the add data page MAKE SURE YOU ENTER THE CORRECT COLLECTION DATE for your data in the ‘Survey Date’ box at the top
  • Incorrect survey date could allocate your data to the wrong time period and could cause errors on submission!


  • You can now enter all of the patient’s details for your ward. Once you have entered data the row will turn green to indicate that you have finished, if you have incomplete data the row will turn red
  • When complete, click the ‘Save’ button to save the data. - Your data has now been submitted to the database.
