If you are having trouble saving your Safety Thermometer data, specifically if the save window is getting stuck on the ‘Preparing to send data to server’ message (as shown below) then the issue is probably the compatibility mode. This Guide is for Internet Explorer 8 - You can check which version of IE you have using the guide on this page : Which Version of IE do I have?

  1. Navigate to safetythermometer.nhs.uk

 

  1. Go to the Tools option on your Internet Explorer menu bar.

  • Open this menu and if the Compatibility View option has a blue tick next to it (as shown below) then click it to deactivate compatibility mode.

  • If the Compatibility View option does not have a blue tick next to it or if this does not solve the issue you are having with the Safety Thermometer website then click the Compatibility View Settings

  • A pop up window should appear similar to the one below, please make sure that all three of the tick boxes highlighted are not ticked

  • Once these steps are complete compatibility mode should have been turned off, the page should refresh and the issues you have been experiencing should have been fixed!
